Dr. Thomas C. Lee Dr. Page Hudson Dr. Ryan Pendleton
Ryan Pendleton DDS

Dr. Ryan Pendleton was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and has had a vested interest in orthodontics since he was 8 years old. While experiencing two phases of orthodontic treatment on himself, he knew he wanted to become an orthodontist.  In order to learn more about the career path, he decided to observe other orthodontists (including Dr. Page Hudson) as a young adult.  He attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California prior to his career in dentistry. After attending UCLA School of Dentistry and finishing at the top of his class in 2004, he received his Orthodontics Certificate at the University of Pittsburgh in 2007. He has been working with Dr. Page Hudson since 2007 and began exclusively working with him in 2008. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the California Association of Orthodontists, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. Since graduation, he has worked in several private practices utilizing various orthodontic techniques and mechanics. He began working with Invisalign in his residency in 2004 and he began working with the SureSmile system in private practice in 2008. Dr. Pendleton also designed and authored a research study that was published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics in April 2008 discussing the differences between a variety of bonding and retainer materials.

Dr. Pendleton has several interests outside of the office. His primary passion is music and has been playing the drums since he was 14 years old. Currently, his favorite bands include Death Cab for Cutie, Silversun Pickups and Phoenix. He exercises regularly and enjoys playing any sport, especially tennis, racquetball, football, and golf. He is also an Eagle Scout and enjoys traveling to different parts of the world every chance he gets. His favorite TV show of all time is "Lost," his favorite movie is "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," and his favorite football team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Achieving the best orthodontic result for each individual patient requires good communication between the orthodontist, the dentist and the patient. Dr. Pendleton encourages open feedback from his patients as treatment progresses and likes to review progress with his patients frequently, thus personalizing treatment and providing an interest for the patient. Dr. Pendleton regularly attends continuing education courses throughout the United States to stay current on the newest information in the orthodontic field.  He has been analyzing people's teeth and facial forms for decades  and can't wait to apply everything that he has learned to form your perfect smile.  Because there is an artistic and subjective component to the appearance of teeth, Dr. Pendleton always wants to hear your opinions regarding treatment. He will do his best to incorporate your suggestions into the treatment plan in order to create an outstanding orthodontic result.
